Who says they're just savage beasts! I sometimes (hardly often) wonder what the scientists find when they study emotion and affection displayed by predators. Horses, for example, are known to make friends and hang around together. And some birds mate for life. What prompts lions to cuddle? Tigers are solitary and can scarcely be described as mutually tolerant.
