The Commanders smiled slipped away as she pressed another button on the control panel. The window shield behind her began to slide downwards as she swiveled partially around in her chair. The view beyond was a horrifying sight to the young Doctor; the burnt and twisted wreckage that had once been two heavy class haulers with a four hundred crew capacity aboard. In the distance, the last of the three freighter seemed to just hang motionless against a sea of blackness. "As your friend," The Commanders words were lowered but very meaningful. "I am prepared to spare that vessel, and in return; you will be an honest, truthful friend of mine." "NOOOO! PLEASE!" The Doctor pleaded in desperation. "They have no weapons. We're on a humanitarian assignment." "Then they will be able to effect repairs and be on their way." The Commander slowly rose to her feet and stared into the tear filled eyes of the Doctor. "They can complete their humanitarian task." He eyes narrowed suddenly. "Cross me, Doctor. I will ensure that you see the destruction of every vessel that I come across in this war, regardless of what it is." She then slowly settled back into her chair.
