Description
This was an "interesting" experiment in using Geometry Shells and Displacement. I displaced all the lines using both min/max on the figure and wanted to fill the resulting "min" using the Geometry shell to create a kind of in-set effect. Had lots of fun with the "max" displacement resulting in the figure's skin eating the clothes because the clothes don't know what "displacement" is.
Not being able to see the effects of displacement until rendering resulted in MUCH guesswork. Also some really interesting skin explosions along the way which I'd like to try and muck about with at a later date.
I'm still learning about geometry shells - I don't know if they automatically follow the subdivision level of the figure and the displacement or if the materials need to be set to match. This goes on the "mess around and find out list".
Other than that, very Cyberpunk inspired and I'm happy that I've finally found an emission setting that makes some sense to me and allows me to create levels of emission that are less bright than the ACTUAL SUN.
Many, many thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
