my Great Grandfather lost the first home that he built. he took materials from it to build the other home in Alvin, TX plus traveling around the countryside to pickup trees that had fell in the hurricane and scraps from destroyed boats

A beautiful photo of this church, Richard. And a fascinating story as well. Folks had to be resourceful back then. You couldn't just run over to Lowes or Home Depot for overpriced supplies.
