Description
After David Teniers.
After climbing with pins, it's time for the descent. The contemplation of paintings presenting card players suggested to me a kind of slide which would materialize the trajectory of the card held in the raised hand until it is placed on the gaming table. This time the allegorical model of the viewer is initially jostled, and exposed in her inability to appreciate the vision of the paintings. Many genre scenes featuring card players show ambiguous relationships between men and women, some based on domination, at least through the gaze. After the pivot point of the fall, I propose the reconstruction of another look articulated to an evolution in the choice of paintings. As before, several evolutionary processes punctuate this sequence of 20 images; To you to discover them.

I love that all the cards down which she slides are in the suite "hearts". Looking up David Teniers I found that there a bunch of painters with that name; I'm thinking this is from the one described as "the younger". XD In the painting on the easel, I guess the fellows in the foreground are smoking (maybe hemp and getting higher) and the card game seems to be going on in the background.
Thanks for sharing and giving me a bit to figure out! XD

In David Teniers' painting, there are indeed lovers of a good clay pipe, in the foreground and in the background near the fireplace. A few pitchers, probably of wine, adorn this moment shared between men. I chose the atmosphere of this painting as a kind of introduction, where the players are all about their business.
