Love the DOF and sun bloom in this scene, which really help in creating the atmosphere of a pirate ship! Nice looking pirate character, too.

Elle paraît bien "tendre" pour manipuler cette énorme barre. Par gros temps elle doit être moins sereine! J'apprécie le réalisme de l'effet du vent sur les cheveux rendus humides par les embruns salés!

En effet la pose ne traduit pas vraiment la tension que mériterait cette barre. Ce navire est la Médusa, et la pose est inspirée de celles proposées pour l'équipage de ce vaisseau. J'ai privilégié la fierté et l'assurance, j'avais en tête un personnage comme Mary Read ou Anne Bonny.

Thanks you do much for this lovely dedication. The bloom of light combines beautifully with the DoF to frame the character. I like that she seems so at ease at the helm, despite its daunting size; an interesting metaphor for navigating the seas of life, perhaps!

The assurance of this woman (pirate, in my mind) is indeed unrealistic, as is the impression that she is alone on this ship. I wanted, however, to do a full-length portrait, which revealed the scale relationship with the ship. I also hesitated with a rudder wheel, which would undoubtedly have generated a more spectacular image
