Description
Edward had almost given up on marriage. As a young man, he had focused establishing himself in a career. By the time he felt secure enough to support a wife, all the eligible ladies he had known in his youth were already married. The women his friends and relatives paraded past him had been raised to be brainless fashion plates and proud of it. He was on the verge of giving up when he met Brienne. She not only had a brain but was not afraid to use it. They became friends and soon married. He was the happiest man in the world.
