Description

I'm re-posting this little scene again without the accompanying prose in an attempt to determine what was offensive about the earlier version. After pondering the matter a bit, I recalled a naughty word in the dialogue which, while quite appropriate for the character, might have stirred the censor gods as I didn't mark the profanity box. If that's the case, lesson learned, though it's a shame as the story took longer to write than staging the scene. So in this little non-canonical fan-art piece we have a defiant Ellie Williams from 'The Last of Us' perched in her Albatros D.V, which she is determined to get airborne. The story made more sense, or at least tried to, but.... Ellie is straight from Renderhub, and the D.V from DAZ with a little texture tweaking and added dust. Light is from an HDRI spun to highlight where needed. No other lights or post work was required, at least from my rather unsophisticated perspective. I'll try stories in future posts, as I have no idea how many people read them, except perhaps the Prose Police. Prose can be tedious, but rewarding when he weave is tight and true, and I sorely need the practice.

It never ceases to amaze and sometimes disgust me what triggers a flag from a censor and also what gets by every day! Where is the equality, I ask! A wonderful series of image here and recently my friend! Many praises and kudos from me!

Thanks Radar - I think the naughty word in the attached story dialogue was the culprit, unless the story itself offended which seems less likely. As I didn't think to check the profanity box, it likely puts the blame on me.

Some time ago i posted a scene with some exposed skin which prompted a message that my piece contained nudity. Reposting with the box checked solved the problem. This one had only the "Insufficient Permissions" tag when I tried to view it after it was stricken from the gallery. Would have been nice to know the issue to make adjusting easier...

Hi, very nice with great lighting :) Censorship sensitive topic... I'm rather critical of censorship, since we're not supposed to have any (allegedly). Nevertheless, it is cheerfully censored. You can certainly understand the operators, after all, nudity can be shown here. Few sides have real problems with violence. But that seems to be a societal problem. The fact that I see the former as less of a problem would certainly go beyond the scope of a more precise version. What remains ? I think to find (or try) a middle way. I don't see your works yet (I'll check them out a few times though). Prose interests me, even if I understand very little, even if it's in my language... Anyway, I look forward to more works from you :)

Thanks Storm - I think this one was on me on account of an -F-bomb' in the dialogue. I've seen plenty of those in other posts, so I didn't think to check the box. Didn't think of it until i squawked when the post was pulled, either...:)

I started rendering to create visual images for prose writing and now things have reversed....

Hmm. I think the first version of this picture was unlocked as this is the second time I've seen it and the last time it had a lot of nice story and dialog. I'll add that on second viewing, spinning the HDRI so that the diagonal slash of light illuminates her but leaves her face in shadow is really effective for creating a tense, serious mood. =/

Spinning the HDRI was one of those moments when you go until you stop and think - this works for me :)
