Description

The Jersey Tiger is a day-flying moth of the family Erebidae. The photo's are taken in our garden. Here in The Netherlands it's seen seldom, but we've seen this butterfly other years too. At the bottom of the wings it is beautifully dark orange in colour, I have to look in my folders because I have photos that this can be clearly seen. The Latin name is: Euplagia quadripunctaria. Dutch: Spaanse vlag.
