Description
There is this mocap service (Plask.ai) offering free motion capture straight from videos. It uses AI (artificial intelligence) to extract 3D motion from plain videos. This was a test to see if I could extract real 3D mocap data from a video, and retarget it to DawnSE in Poser. This is the result after some cleanup. It was a fun project. ^____^

Wow! That's pretty awesome, Ken. The left shin looks a little strangely rotated to me and the ankles are a bit stiff but all the movement is really fluid and realistic! The movement of the skirt is delightful. Was that accomplished through the cloth room or was it some application of bullet physics? (which I know next to nothing about). XD
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed viewing! =)

Thanks! It's not bad considering the AI has estimated the 3D motion out of a plain video playback. The free version has no access to foot locking, that kind of compromises the results. That causes the feet to have no contact with the ground, so we end up with feet sliding and a discoordination between upper and lower body. I guess "free" comes with a price! ^^
The skirt was a straight Poser cloth sim, because no conforming skirt would ever look right when animated. :D
