Description
First off I have to apologize for not participating in comments, the galleries of the community in general for some time. I've been adjusting to a new dynamic in my life. All is well, but when you lose a parent you were very close too, it does take some time. I know we never "get over" these things, it's really just moving forward and putting things into perspective.
Also, and probably more so, I've been very focused on finishing book one of a fantasy novel. I decided to take the Urath story (Hadron Khan, Kavalla, Ertha, Tabor Jael, etc) into the publishing world. The first book as been rewritten and expanded and updated. Here are some cover ideas. I'd be happy to know your favorite, ideas, critiques or any thoughts on the matter.
The first set of three are the same other than changing text placement. The other two are alternate ideas, but no less a possibility.
After my brother and I go on a much needed vacation (it's been about 5 years or so) I'll be pushing this in September and hopefully finding some time to noodle around and check out galleries here and my other haunts.

I must have missed this one - I saw your newer cover... These all look great, Art! But I do think the newer cover gets the dragon across more clearly. Hope you have great success with the book!
My deepest condolences for your loss, my friend. It does take time. We just lost my brother-in-law recently, and it has hit Jolene like a brick wall. She's mostly OK, but today (her birthday) was pretty hard for her to get through. So I can certainly relate. It took a while for me to get back to some semblance of normal when my dad passed in 2013. You just have to take it a day at a time..

That's rough. Losing either of my siblings at this point would be really tough, especially the brother that I share the house with. We are brothers and friends. My condolences.
