Description
Following on from yesterdays submission, and with the evidence of climate change all around us, I decided to start a series on spirits and protectors of the natural world. So here we have the Orisha Aja, the Yoruba patron of the Forests, the animals in it, and teacher of herb-lore and healing. Unlike most Orishas, she shares her knowledge freely with those who seek her out.

Even they can do anythng against the climate change!!!!! Climate change has existed since this earth existed!!!!!

Whether climate change is a natural cycle, or human caused, it's clear something is happening. We really should start taking precautions to prevent loss of life; both human and animal. Maybe stop building stuff in historic flood zones, protecting and creating more animal refuges, and lowering our impact on the environment.

Couldn't agree more. I'd also add that our personal choices in how much and what we consume make a difference too...if enough people do it... a billion tiny changes add up to a fairly major one, and if the public appetite for over consumption was reined-in, then the wasteful over production of industry would be forced to reduce..

I hear you! At least in the UK we are forecast some rain this week in the south; unfortunately after the prolonged drought most of it will just run off the land, and cause flooding rather than watering the fields...

Indeed, and a fine one too, though I believe named after the Korean wife of an acquaintance (hence the photo of Sayoko Yamaguchi on the cover, I guess)... 🙂.

Fantastic work on this beautiful image, my friend! I completely agree with you and Wolf. If we don't get our act together as a species, it's only going to get worse.

Many thanks, much appreciated :)

I like this one even better than the previous post, Joe. Again, the blending of foreground with background is seamless. As for the theme, a Yoruba priestess is not a common way of expressing concern for nature. I like it! =)

Thanks again. This one is lit purely with emissive and spots, so the backround is just a plain old photo backdrop. The camera is positioned low so that the foreground objects hide the horizon line and so there is no visible "join".
