Description
The last voyage of the Federation science vessel Pythagoras. In the year 2227 the Pythagoras ventured into an unknown area of space to investigate a binary pulsar. 2 weeks into the journey communications was lost, and the ship was never heard of again. Star Fleet searched the area for months, but no trace of the ship, or her crew were ever found.

Very powerful scene! She has a very high-powered phaser, so I wonder how she failed to take care of this Gorn?

Is she frozen in fear? Is she afraid to hit her crew mate? Could it be the phaser power pack was drained killing a lot more, or maybe she's just suckering him in? We know the ship gets destroyed, but do some survive? It's possible, look at the name plate on the door. I painted the picture, you tell me what you think happens. Unless of course you want me to paint them in. :-)

Thanks. Strange New Worlds introduced this version of the Gorn, and opened up a much darker window into the Star Trek universe. To me they are not unlike the Reavers from Firefly/Serenity, or the xernomorphs from Alien.
