"In the great cave, towering over the brave wizard are the Flames of Avidal, guarding the mystic portal to the void of wandering souls. awesome lighting! Nice sense of scale also. how did you do the rays of light?

The rays of light were actually postworked in PSP7. I copied the entire image merged and then pasted a new layer right over top of my current image. from there, I added a simple sunburst effect positioned right on the end of the wand. I erased the rays I didn't need, softened them with the retouch brush and then dodged them a bit. The rays of light shooting upward from the flames were done in retouch using the dodge and some colorization. At the end of the staff I concentrated the light by using the dodge brush and then cloning the outside wall around it to make it less intense. Thanks for your comments :)

Very neatly done and lovely lighting:) only thing id change is put more randomness in the bricks, they look too repetitive as they are, but brilliant works :)
