Description


Strolling around Groom Lake and seeing what's going on at the test facilities (Area 51, Dryden Flight Center, Edwards AFB and so on) is very interesting. I recently discovered this while escorting Lockheed engineers... This is a XFV-1. One of the first attempts to make a VTOL fighter in 1953. It never took off vertically. Made with Unreal.

Sorry, I forgot to comment this image! I was in Sardinia and Corsica during August and September. I was fond of aviation when I was young and I remember the VTOL!
