Miss Gabby is Liz's parrot & they said it was fine if she took her to the home with her. Gabby amuses the other residents with her talking & asking questions. She is very cheeky & usually the first thing she says to me when I see her is "Want a coffee" She does also regularly ask if "I want a shower" this has changed from "Do I want a bath". Another thing she asks is "Are you cold" These things tell me she is picking up what the carers are asking in the home. She is naughty too, I take & give her monkey nuts, I ask her if she wants one, usually she takes, I ask if she wants another, when she has had enough, she takes it off me & throws it down in her cage. If she thinks I am talking to Liz a little too much she climbs down her cage positions herself under her water, stretches to look at me, I tell her "Gabby do not tip your water up", she goes back under it & then looks back at me. She really makes me laugh. When I laugh with Liz, Gabby copies my laugh. Her repertoire is amazing. She is so nosy & watches everyone coming & going, even calling to the goats & chickens outside. She is loved by all there & I love that Liz can have something from her old life with her. Thanks for the lovely comments, so appreciated. x
