many thanks to horo for saving the day =) doesnt look like much, but these have been my progress w/ ue5 as of late. learning environments and terrains of course. using bryce as my terrain generator, its good to bring some life back to the old skool stuff. im aware there are others available, good and free, but i didnt want to deal with yet another program, another download, and another learning curve. im sure it wouldnt take much to pump out some heightmaps on a new program, but i just didnt feel like it =P i did however have to redownload the gimp, as my photoshop "elements" 2018 doesnt handle 16bit files, lol... and supposedly the gimp can convert bumps to normals, which is needed for ue5 anyway. so i pretty much understand the basics of the landscape tool and setting up a world partition, now to practice editing terrains and composing scenes on a smaller scale before trying to populate a two and a half square mile of digital real estate.
