Description
...and Sonja learns of perfidy regarding Mrs. Butler, the head maid.
Sonja and Fat Bob disembarked from the steam carriage and two conversations ensued.
"Ehm! Ehm! Yer be tellin' me teh Guvner is missin?" Fat Bob exclaimed.
"Indeed," the Butler replied. "We can find no sign of her and we found Mrs. Butler in a nonfunctional state in the attic. An open window suggested that the Mistress may have been removed from the manor from that top story. As the Guardian detected no disturbance at the ground level it would appear an aerostat of some sort was involved." The enormous clank guardian nodded in agreement with the clank butler and spoke in the language of clanks offering an apology.
"God's Teeth!" Fat Bob exclaimed. "First I lose me guvner an' now 'is niece teh new guvner! I ain't worth me weight in scrap!"
While the clanks shared information, Sonja Steelsinger was engrossed in her examination of Mrs. Butler, the head maid. She was closely observed by the three serving dolls: Dove, Raven and Crow. Sonja's talent as a Spark enabled her to see the flow of aetheric fluids that animated the clank. "She's been tampered with for certain," the young spark murmured. "Oy! 'Ere's why yer have nowt a bit of life. Summun 'as overwritten yer think pot with a clankseed and blanked it when they finished usin' yer!" Sonja's expression changed from one of concentration to one of dismay. "I know 'oo made this clankseed..."
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 12.0.1029 and tweaked a bit in Photoshop. Fat Bob is by Simon-3D, Sonja Steelsinger is based on La Femme with modifications by Afrodite-Ohki. The butler and head maid are based on the CSI dummy figure by Cybertenko; the maid dolls are based on the BJ Doll by Studio Maya. The setting is by RPublishing and Flink.

Thank you, Rod. I like to tell a story with dialog rather than info dump exposition. XD I REALLY like to use the comic page but it's soooo much work. So here you have the lazy girl's approach to a graphic novel. ;-P

You always amaze Molly - lots of good little fun things here - particularly the names of the doll maids. The story draws in and conveys a lot without excessive wordage.

I introduced the serving dolls several images back in the story (what would be last evening in the story time before Lilja retired and then was abducted). They will be playing a larger role in the story soon.

When I first introduced them I liked the cute/creepy feel of the serving dolls. As they were personal designs by her uncle it hints at a bit of dark fetish in the old fellow. ;-) They will have a bigger role to play soon.

Poor Fat Bob! it's not his fault! Hope Sonja can identify who tampered with Mrs. Butler without putting herself in danger, but I won't hold my breath on that one :-)
I have a terrible memory, so I apologize if I forget things from previous posts in a story series, but I always enjoy seeing your stories!

No problems re memory, Amy. I take FOREVER getting through a story and sometimes let them sit dormant for weeks or months. I love the idea that Fat Bob sees himself as having a role in keeping Darkstar Industries and all it's clanks safe. =)
