Oh, that is a beauty! Sweet ride indeed! They both have nice, graceful curves! Sweet work, Bill.

Yes, for sure! I think the Monroe model has some very nice shapely gams! LOL! Thanks for noticing! Always a pleasure to get your impression.

That was a 1953 Buick. My first car was a 1952 Buick convertible, exactly like this one, except the taillights were a bit different at the back. It had a straight 8 engine, and Dynaflow transmission.

I did a google search on the 1952 Buick Skylark convertible. It was interesting in that I could only fine one photo of it. Everything else seems to indicate that 1953 was the first year for the Skylark convertible. But the one photo that I did find sure validates your description of the 1952. It certainly had different taillights. From what was written with the picture, it sounded like the 1952 was a concept car. I wonder if you had a very rare car? Many thanks for the comment! I greatly appreciate you sharing your experience with me and opening up my horizon to the Buick history!

Hi, mine was a 1952 Bucik Roadmaster. They looked identical, except for the taillights. It may no have had that chrome strip on the side between the 2 colors, but that's only decoration. My car was, in every sense of the word, a carbon copy in the general appearance. It was a heavy car, with real thick steel that rang when you hit it. The straight 8 also only got 8 mpg in town, 1 gallon per cylinder I guess), but it's one of those cars that just sticks in your heart. Mine was dark blue convertible.

I had a grade school teacher that said she had an old 1948 Buick. She loved that car. Drove it all over on gravel roads. She said even driving on gravel roads, you could take your hands off the wheel and it would just go charging down the road, straight as a arrow, so solid and dependable!
