Description
The Fremont Indian tribe were the first people to settle the area. Hopi and Zuni Tribes came later and held the art work of the Fremont's as spiritual and their history

For these to have lasted all this time, one must wonder how deeply they were etched in the stone...and how long it took...I am totally awestruck by these, have a million questions...are they a story of the tribe or are they an artist leaving his or her 'painting'...these kind of things touch me deep inside, almost a primal feeling...if I were still a young girl I would climb as far as I could just to touch them, to be able to feel that I think would be amazing...thank you for this one Richard, its a grand capture!

stunning sheer rock face---a wall hitting us in the face! Love how you do this: You're at just right distance from this formidable wall. The native art work 'emerges' as we look at it---i recognize the ancient figures, their geometric forms, and I love how they ascend up the face of this rock as if they were journeying to its center. A massive, foreboding capture, with nearly living figures marching up it...(I love Lynn's response)
