Description
Captain's Log: September 4th
Last night was filled with activity. Sleep was just not an option. Part of the crew loaded items we had taken ashore to make a camp. They made several trips out to the ship with our three small life boats. Others worked inside the belly of the ship by lantern light to finish up repairs as best they could. Many others worked on deck to get the rigging in order. James has sketched Willis, our tree climbing crew member, hanging by some rope high in the rigging. The remainder of the crew stood watch on the beach as we thought the natives might appear at any moment.
James' first drawing here is of me, Captain John Wright. The next is of himself, James Farley, hard at work. He has done an outstanding job of getting our experiences down on paper in a very short amount of time. After we set sail and are far from the island, he will have time to list details about each of his drawings. Hopefully some in the future will gain from them.
At the first hint of dawn, with all our supplies in order and all of the crew on board, we set sail. Our direction will be northerly. We hope to see another ship or find something familiar. The last drawing James is working on is the view of the island from a distance. It is a beautiful, strange place but we are so glad to be on our way to our next adventure. Godspeed.
As we get further away from the island, we see an unusual object in the sky above it. Hmmm?

This is an interesting account of their voyage! It looks like they are leaving the island just in time!
