whoa didn't expect to see this! The figures are all twisted and muscular to look like real people in battle. And you have almost rippling abstracts for the armies in the distance. Plus towering rock formations and deep shadows....And your sky looks like the materials of an old, old painting. Terrific, Barb. (I remember two sole things from years back about Thermopylae...one, that it meant "Hot Gates" ((which frankly sounds obscene!)), and two, that Xerxes---in a delightful moment---cut off the head of one of his enemies---leonides or someone...and someone commented, in essence, "nice! nice one, Xerx!" And I remember that the spartans were considered the cat's meow. That's the extent of my knowledge about TP. (See how I abbreviated it? Makes it look like I'm way familiar with it...I'm not...) Love this. A bow to antiquity.
