History it is hard to see how they went about making a paper up in those days now days it is all done by pen pushers with sore fingers on computers

Oh indeed, that is why papers tended not to come out as frequently. Bigger cities might have a weekly paper, others would get biweekly or monthly and they tended only to be a page or two. When it takes a day or two just to set up the letters... but still beats writing out copies by hand!

In my younger days I was a typesetter and made settings like this. It was for a daily publication in a small town in Germany. Now I sit on my computer to make graphics in 3D for fun. It was a long way to this.
