This was supposed to be a very simple scene with which to experiment with HDRI lighting that I could finish in a day. It’s been more like almost three days. The problem? Figure placement, and how they interact with each other. Originally, it was just going to be a scene with the unicorn but then I decided to add the princess. Then I couldn’t decide where in the scene each should be or what they should be doing! After a LOT of trial and error and re-rendering, I finally got what you see here.

Lovely scene and interesting character! Love her hair and outfit. I also like how the light shines on her hair. You did well with the HDRI lighting!
I can totally relate to your process of wanting to focus on something simple or specific but having various issues come up to complicate matters. Argh! :-)
