I am a traditional 2D artist that has slowly moved into 3D modelling, 3D & 2D animation/video. Even though I have been doing it for a few years, I am still learning many things since I started out. I create characters based on some of my old 2D sketches, or sometimes from photographs of family and friends, and naturally others from my own imagination and magazines. My Bio picture is based on an old photo and sketch of me from a Halloween party from years ago for example - I removed the photo as I didn't realise how HUGE it was when you click on Bio!!!!
I also create content for my language business and online shops; and I undertake a limited amount of commission work
My interests are in Archaeology because it's old like me. Culture and History because they are important.
And above all, kindness and honesty because there should more of that in the world.
I don't have social media accounts dedicated to my art because my business takes up a lot of time. However, I have been a deviant art member for many years.
I started with Poser a number of years ago but at the moment I'm doing quite a lot using Reallusion software. It's definitely a learning curve!
Thank you for looking and comments and constructive criticism are very much welcomed! I will always do my best to acknowledge comments, because if people take the time to comment, then I think it only right that I take the time to acknowledge that.

Great work on your Yolanda character! I find the two images you have here for us to view, to be both rendered well even though they both were rendered in different ways. The main difference for the most part is in the way the lighting and shadows are distributed on the character. I tend to like the look of the first render for a more dramatic look where the lighting is brighter and the shadows are darker and more pronounced.
The second I-ray render offers a more refined look, since the lighting and the shadows are more spread out and tend to blend in well with the character. Depending on the look or mood you are going for, choosing one or the other will always give you pleasing results. Personally I always try to choose the native render when possible since its faster than using an alternative render. I usually end up adding more lights to the scene when using the native render. by adding more lights I am able to create a well lit scene and yet get fast rendering times in the process.
OK I think I went too long on explaining my point of view, sometimes I have been known to use too many words to explain myself...my apologies for rambling on. Keep up the great work! :-)

Yes, I agree with you. I prefer the first image. It has the atmosphere I was aiming for. iray is ok but you have to do a lot of faffing about if you want to get the atmosphere or look that you can achieve with the embedded renderer. I do like iray if I could get the lighting correct!
I didn't consider your comment to too long. I like good feedback; short comments, or in-depth, they all help me strive achieve more. So thank you :)
