Description
This slightly intensified scene is to give another update for Steve (eekdog).
Steve wrote me today, and said he saw his doctor, and the doctor set the hernia operation for Dec 2d. Steve must feel like he's been on a roller coaster this week! (I'd be saying, "any OTHER surprises, Doc?")
But equally important, the doctor said the operation was up to Steve: He recommended the operation, but said Steve doesn't have to do it.
Well to me, that means that the hernia isn't dire. And that if Steve has it, he'll hopefully get through it without problems. I wish that for him, through and through!
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the fall, Steve---you deserve it! Take care, and stay well! It's been quite a week, hasn't it!

Something else...
Rod mentioned, in my gallery, that I'd been nominated for AOM (artist of the month). (I didn't know I had.)
It's a strange feeling. Having been in 3 arts all my life, I never thought about awards much. I will say that, as many of my friends got recognized by the site, I felt a little bereft; but your personal support has meant more to me than anything else ever could. So I didn't think about it much.
If you feel like voting for me, I'd be very grateful. If you don't, that's fine too: The other 2 writers look very creative and do things I've never done; and I wish them the best. My main concern is the love and support I get from my fans. So aom or no aom, I'm very grateful for what I've gotten from all of you; I always will be. As for being nominated, I'm very grateful to those who chose me. Thank you for considering me.
Thanks for all your comments, visit and support. And Jo, Rod and Steve, and Lynn (ShadowsNTime)--to everyone who's struggling to get healthy, my deepest healing wishes! (Barb/goldie too...she had covid a while back, and has dealt with after-effects ever since.) May health be with you all! I'll be off for a few days to heal my arm, but I'll be back by next week. Take care, many thanks, and peace to all! m

good luck with the voting poll! you deserve this recognition.
I love the bright colors in this, it makes the black fences and the clothing stand out dramatically. I'm not sure what that machine is for, but the person sitting on the wall doesn't seem worried. the cars peeking through the trees are cute, like they're pretending not to be sitting on a public city street and they are letting nature have all the glory in this shot.

A most lovely shot here, Mark! Full of wonderful fall color - and the backlighting on that lady's red hair is just phenomenal! I wish I could get back / hair light like that in my renders...
That's good news for Steve, indeed. I had a hernia op several years ago, and it wasn't bad at all. They even sent me home the same day after a couple hours in the recovery ward. Hope Steve's op is just as easy.
Jo is doing a little better today, but still very tired. We have a follow-up appt on the 3rd with our Dr. They called a little earlier today just to talk with her and see how she's doing.
My commenting is spotty, and will be for some time, but I'm dropping a few here and there.

Your capture is glorious, Mark! Your manip is perfecto. Thanks for the update on Steve. Obviously it's not an emergency situation since the Op date is more than a month away.
Congrats on being selected as a candidate for AOM...now off to do some voting :)

thanks for the shout out Mark. only one bad thing can happen if i don't. can't recall the details but it could lead to death if this whatever happens. so with his description about where he was going to make cuts, felt like i would have a road map on my chest. and possible scar tissue to develop, maybe a second herina op, all depends. but highly enjoy view your beautiful autumn photos my friend. hope that the PT works and helps you out. my mom has been there a few times , like three months worth both this year and last. hope the best my friend.
