Description
Princess Quinn has completed her mission on a distant planet. She stops a moment for one last look of the planet that has been her home for the past few years.
This image took several months to make. What held me up? I just seemed to be missing something, and it just never "felt right". Then out of nowhere the idea of adding a Stargate like portal in the canyon made it all come together. Woohoo!
The Character is Quinn for G3F with a lot of additional morphs and shader tweaks. The outfit is from BAST for G3F, the hair is Cleo Hair for G3F and the headpiece is Cleopatra 8.1 Head Piece (all from DAZ) The Environment is Arches of the Past. I added and scaled the Atlántida Portal and placed it between the arches, then adjusted the shaders to better match the "feel" of the arches. I used a steam prop to create the haze in the portal, and a lightning ball for the lightning effects in the portal. The opacity and the colors and emittance intensity in the shaders for these props needed to be adjusted for the proper look. I also added a distance mist prop to give the mist effect in the lower portion of the image (it had to be scales and shaders adjusted to give the desired look). The main scene light is from the default Iray HDRI rotated to 30 degrees. Supplemental lighting is from 10 spot lights. One spot light to highlight the figure more, 8 spot lights for rim lights, and one spot to provide more blue/violet light coming from the portal. Some very minor post work was done in Gimp.
I hope you enjoy the image!! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm glad she's back....she's so pretty. I guess your PC suffered a bit during the render of such a complex scene..complex but superb.
