Description
Certainly a tropical bird found in the Bloedel Conservatory here in BC. But it wasn't among the birds they list as being there on the website so I have no idea who this fellow or lady is.

Hello Chatar, this is the three-color glossy star (Lamprotornis superbus), naturally abundant in the east Africas. (See the ring!) He is one of the wrinkled family of the starlings, which are the winners (!) of the climate-change. A very nice Photo, indeed! Greetings, Chr

Thanks Chrysaor, Because it's not a native bird the local bird books I have were a little useless for identification! Certainly a prettier version of starling than what was brought over here from Europe and has gone wild.
