Description

Hello dear friends, This is painted with acrylic paint and markers, at least the 1st image. On the 2nd you can see how, just for fun, I started with 'messing around'. I had henna powder left from coloring my hair, I put a very small cup of coffee through it and did it on a canvas board. Then I put some drops of brown alcohol ink here and there, and tilted the board a bit. I had no idea what it should be and glued thin paper over it to get texture. About a month later I made something out of it, and that has become the 1st image. Dear friends, thank you very much for your look. P.S. I also used make-up, such as, eyeliner and eyebrow powder

Oh, this reminds me of the experiments you and Andrea and Helle used to do, some years back. (Tara too.) I tried a few, but mine were awful, lol. (The coffee spilled everywhere, and destroyed my art. I never learned how to mix coffee with drawings and paintings!)

I love the second one--even though it's the "pre" image (the prototype) (the 'voorlopig ontwerp'--right? I love that word in dutch!) The second image looks like a primal, prehistoric "ooze", a pre-mammal creature that is crawling across the prehistoric plains, seeking a mate (or food).

The first image is the second image dressed up for an orgy! I love all the stuff you put into your physical images---makeup? I love it! This looks like a very colorful microorganism, dressed for a masked ball (gemaskerd bal?) for amebas. You are so creative with these images. Terrific multi-media painting, Jacomina. You turned the "crawling blob" into a full-blown broche for microorganisms. Terrific!
