This poet does not have the luxury or the freedom to evolve in an autonomous suit, he has lead feet and remains connected to the surface of things. Yet he persists in scouring the submarine forests of his subconscious to find treasures. These treasures, fragile and rare, because they could become sweet words, comforting images, are first of all bubbles of air, breaths in his life as an explorer of stories. These balloons are valuable because they could burst or deflate at any time. All of this would be nothing if it weren't for the obsessive presence of submarine mines, all these false good ideas, which, taking the form of images or words, pop in your face. So he does his job, maintaining his tools, like a good craftsman, his electric guitar could just as well be a chisel, a pen for writing or the stylus of a graphics tablet. To clear a path to right expression, he must break chains to release mines by defusing them or letting them burst far away on the surface of things. The electric arc is his strength, but also the risk of being electrocuted, so in the camera of his diving helmet, he thinks of a joke: “why not sneeze?”

What a marvellous concept and beautifully judged allegory... i find it fascinating that the coronaviruses in this context are like WW2 anti-ship mines. Also interesting that he plays a Rickenbacker (well to me at least!) who are credited with inventing the electric guitar....

what a wonderful and insightful look, I am always seduced by the finesse of your observations. I thought of John Lennon when choosing the guitar.
