Can easily see this being some alien or demon's idea of a pet. Heck, maybe they are just sweet misunderstood alien doggos that got lost or dumped by their idiot owners and are just trying to get by on an unfamiliar, sometimes hostile planet. Maybe call the Extraterrestrial SPCA to come pick 'em up next time there's a sighting. Poor lizard puppies want home!
