Nicely done! Reminds me of Ansel Adams and his zone system.

Very cool landscape, outstanding photo!

Beautiful shot of the desert mountains! What is the building with the flags in the left foreground? I think you made a good choice to save on the overpriced hotel and put it towards your leaky chimney :)

the post office for many square miles for Navajos

I spoke to one person and he said he drives many miles to go there

Yeah, that is just a wee bit too steep for the Turd hotel. I wouldn't give him 5 cents for a night! LOL! A most excellent image here! The sight looks very magical! Excellent capture and presentation, Richard! Bravo!

@Richardphotos when I saw that flagpole, I immediately thought of a U.S. Post Office, but then it appears to be in the middle of nowhere, so I thought it couldn't possibly be one. Must be a pretty quiet and serene post office to work at, unless you're a delivery driver.
Richardphotos
no deliveries because the huge area they cover

This is a great capture and has an old world feel.... wonder what it would look like in sepia???

wow, full size the shot has such subtle softness, and a real gentle sweep. You get these sweeping yet gentle qualities in a number of your landscapes, and this is one example. I love the rich monotone---beautiful grays actually. And I can see how this would be sacred---it feels sacred. A beautiful shot, and in a beautiful black and white.
Richard I'm at an hour in your gallery and I have to stop now and get ready for the day. I will do my best not to let another several weeks to pass without commenting. I hope to get back again before the end of the year...but again, you're one of our finest artists here, and it's always a pleasure to sit in your gallery. I hope you're well and inspired, and enjoy the cooler weather
