after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

That's great news, Steve! So glad it all turned out so well, buddy! It was much the same when I had mine done a few years ago. It used to be a pretty serious surgery, but with all the advances in the medical realm, it's a "no biggie" now.
I remember back in the mid-80's Jo had to have her gallbladder taken out. They had to make an incision from just below her ribs almost to her navel. She had a week stay in the hospital to heal (thankfully I had good insurance through my job back then).
When I had mine out a few months after my hernia surgery, they made a cut about a half-inch or so, and used some kind of fancy instrument with a camera to take it out. I spent one night in the hospital, and went home the next day. It's truly amazing what they can do, now. I just wish it wasn't so $$$$$$$$$.
Great job on this as always - your lady looks sensational here - and I do love redheads!

Your art above really does capture the feeling of walls closing in... I know the feeling and this image portrays it well.
Hope you are a lot better now.

she looks good. that sure is a small space, at least she has a fabulous chair to sit in.
I'm glad you're doing well. someone in my family had (different) surgery Dec 1. the tiny incisions are such an improvement in reducing the healing time. keep walking, though!

I'm glad so many people were pulling for you. You deserved the support! Your image is terrific: You've taken your usual checkerboard floor, and you've turned it into a suffocating chamber. I love that the tiles are on the wall too (w/ a great reflection on both sides). And she's pushing the walls away.
Further, you've clothed her in deep reds, which are striking. And the tiles are steeped in a muted red and pink. An eerie cloistered image,Steve, and very effective. She really does look stuck...
