I set my camera for intense low-light...taken a few years back...
there's nothing more miraculous than walking to the lake at dawn and feeling like you're in the primal north woods, when---20 feet behind you---a massive city sits, rising out of slumber...

this is beautiful. I love the way the clouds form near the horizon; the colors mixing till they change from gold to blue. the lone pedestrian gives this scene a quiet mood, but one that is not completely void of the nearby population.

Great capture. Those long wavelengths of light warming the pier are a nice contrast to the blue.
