Description
We always look for Greenland or Arctica, when worried about climate warming. What we are seeing here is the remnant of the so called Patagonian Icesheet, one of the most complex and oldest glacial landscape in the world. It has lost 500 000 sqkm during the last 8k years, and its retreat has contributed to 1,2 m rise of sea-level. Since the industrial century the melting has accelerated heavily.
Made in Blender with an heightfield by USGS and an overlay by SPOT-Satellite. No technical details this time, cus I have been signalled, that this was boring.

Often, tech details are interesting and appreciated. they can give insight to the workings of the medium.
I generally refuse to comment on images that have no details whatsoever.
This is excellent Blender work and the info given is also of interest.

I actually didn't know that it was possible to create or edit landscape in Blender, and what I can see here is truly baffling and superbly designed and rendered. Thank for sharing the gen on this gigantic glacier of yonderyears....
