This is my Morgan for Poser. In DAZ Studio, if you want a "good" render, you must :

  • give every chrome parts an Iray shader
  • give the material PAINT only 30° angle instead of the default 89,9°.

Thank you, 3DClassics123456. I appreciate your taking the time to be of assistance. At present, I have no idea how to create or apply an Iray shader. I do intend to learn. Thanks again. And Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I admire your virtual automobiles very much, by the way.

I'd like to, but I have no idea how to make and apply an Iray shader and also no idea where the material PAINT is to be found.

A lovely scene! I think this turned out very cool. You placed everyone nicely and have a great setting as well! A most delightful scene! Many fine praises from me!

So you got a 'little' scolding from the master! LOL! It was nice of him to provide the information! I know what you are experiencing. I went through a long learning curve in Poser before I finally figured out some of the basics in shading there. I've still got a long way to go, but for right now, I am satisfied with what I am able to do in Poser.

Now DAZ in an entirely different story. I was never able to master that program. I got completely frustrated with it because every time there was a program update, I'd lose access to my content and would have to spend hours trying to figure out how to get it back. I did not like that one little bit! LOL.

Thanks for the comments and the sympathy. My issue with DAZ Studio is the lack of comprehensive documentation. Millions of parameters and no manual explaining exactly what they do. Poser at least is user-friendly and well-documented.

I LOVE the finish on your Morgan. It is a rarity for anyone to re-paint in such interesting colours. BRITISH RACING GREEN doesn't always rule! lol Great work!

Thank you very much, but, to be honest, the finish on the Morgan is the vendor's original finish. I re-painted nothing and, frankly, wouldn't know how. I hope you liked the render. Happy New Year, BTW.
