The Zulu have been waiting too! Superb render.

thanks for the compliment - and for the incentive to find out about the legend/the facts about white lions in timbavati..
well, it's kinda funny, because the 1st title that came to my mind was "out of africa", lol.. which would explain why the beautiful feline is so rare there. maybe it's the pure white of his fur, or because while the snow has melted here, the wind outside was still howling and screaming "winter" as i created the scene, but i just couldn't dissociate the white lion from snow... knowing it's not like a snow fox or sth XD

They are considered to be animals from the last ice age. The Zulu believe that they will return when humanity needs help, and their appearance in the twentieth century fulfills their ancient prophecy! I have always appreciated them, and love this rendering.

thank you! ^^ i fell immediately in love with this majestic feline as soon as i saw him in the shop, and after a long wait, i could afford him and went straight from installing to rendering ^^

interesting. who was i channeling? XD well, if there is a time for them to return, it's really now indeed, more than ever. and while i would never wear white clothes, eeek, nor do i particularly like it on other people or too much around me, and i don't go bonkers about purity either, white animals have always fascinated me... the leucistic even more since unlike the albino, they have colorful eyes

Time to leave, that cat is in a snit... The image is most impressive. It initially looks over-exposed, but very right at the same time. Not sure I would have had the paws beyond the frame of the image, but I'm not convinced it would have been better that way, might have looked 'plonked' in the centre of the image. So much to learn. Thank you for sharing this, really appreciate it.

yup, in a snit is just the way i feel when i'm enjoying a solitary walk, and then some jerk has to disturb my peace by walking by... lol. thank for the nice comment, the appreciation is reciprocal ^^
i actually upped the environment to have this radiant-sun-on-snow atmosphere, y'know when everything white blends you.. and i added the "ice& snow" snow system, but 1st time using it, it looks more like the grain of an old photograph than snow - gotta learn using this one. i first had the paws showing, but it was weird, as you say. and i usually do tend to always show the whole model(s) in a scene, and noticed sometimes or even often, people cut quite a bit for the "shot" (same for avatar icons with the full face), and the result is artistically better somehow. less.. well, 3D scene, lol.
