Description
Made in Wombo Dream - but with a source image I created/rendered in Daz3D (the crappy last in the series here), and obvs a prompt.
The point being: Since I suck as a 3D artist (or generally as an artist, lol), I wondered how my renders would benefit of AI revamps...
Also: with the Astrocats series, the challenge to myself was to use 12 (weird-ish) astro concepts with cats and NO source image, only prompts = only talk with the AI. It was fun... but a PITA, since I had quite exact ideas and the AI couldn't grasp my concepts, probably due to a lack of similar tagged images...
But if I could explain my ideas with a self-made source image = a render from Daz3d, I could make way clearer what I want...
Here, to see how far this could go, I picked a purposely crappy source image: an old simple quick fitting test, as I once tried this Genesis kimono on G8M with mucho bending stuff and also Iray - I never finished the scene.
So in a way, ideal to see how such an awful "render" would look like pimped with AI.
Well, not disappointed! I could never in life have produced such cool images, because I lack the skills and inspiration to bring the extra atmosphere in a render.
I enjoy our collaboration. I love to work with Daz3d, but first I have a piece of *** laptop and I'm very limited with scenes, rendering, no dforce, everything. And yeah, as said above, my renders lack the ooomf. So I can create/render the scene I want, even it's wonky, collaged, poor quality - and finish with AI assistance. The best of both worlds! ^^
Aaaaand... I just noticed that I forgot to add a feline in the scene. All my latest renders feature a feline somehow/somewhere. I am soooooo annoyed with my distraught self. Meow :(
Input image:
Obviously the last ugly one.
First times with strong influence, then normal so th AI gets creative too. Again, not disappointed!
Prompt:
beautiful young longhair chinese man shaven in red hanfu and golden sash, chinese garden, bamboo left and lantern on the ground left, intricate detail, complementary colors, 8k resolution, artstation
Styles:
I started with mostly Comic and HDR, then pretty much every realistic style - until I realized that Floral gave excellent hanfu and vegetation details, so I stayed with Floral for the last part.

You got some good ones. I like the first the best although I can see why you might now because of the lantern being so small. Anyway, good series.
maneki_neko
thank you ^^ yeah i love the 1st one because.. the AI got wild and ful fantasy, so even the prompt isn't followed, the result is cool ^^ series, yes - but not like they all came together, i spent the whole afternoon rejecting the AI's proposals XDDD

Love them the whole set. as I look at them I find it quite hard to see if the image is male or lady Not the sure at all of the last in the set face not very clear but many thanks for sharing the set
maneki_neko
thank you ^^ - the person is male, but a fine kind, the type you would see in chinese wuxia fantasy, or real period history (han etc), with long hair and those magnificent outfits reminding of a kimono (which is japanese). the last is not an AI render but a render from a 3d app, poor quality and blown up so big, just as a source/an inspiration for the AI ^^
uncollared
Beautiful colors
maneki_neko
thank you ^^ - yes the color palette is kinda original, but the AI invented awesome silk designs ^^
