I love that the young person---maybe a child---is like an archetypal child of the universe, wrapped-up for the cold, and looking out into the universe...Kinda like that young infant at the end of 2001, only this child is grown and seems mesmerized by the mystery. The fireworks are tactile---you can almost touch them---and the balloons quietly intrude on the sky with all those beautiful colored spots and lights and stars. The porch is coated with beautiful deep red light. Perfect, Barb: the infant new year, filled with wonder. I can never repeat enough how much I appreciate what you do, and I wish you and all your loved ones a wonderful 2023. (I saw your response to Ute's Resolution upload---you're wise to not make resolutions! I haven't kept one since the late 1700s. I just hope the universe gives you wonder and light galore!)
