I seem to have another perception: What we are seeing here is truely the Heros travel of Cú Chuláin McMouse from Ireland! Painting 1 shows him as a young warrior, listening to the lore of Cathbath, the druid, to be famous. Painting 2 let us see him stealing the treasue of Ulster. Picture 3 shows him triumphant after he was taught by Scáthach and given the weapon Gaé Bulga. Pic 3 describes him in majestic pose as the undisputed Hero of Ulster. (The expression is his eyes is a bit frigthening!) ;)
