These are again great looking captures dear Richard, unfortunately I can't comment on all your recent artwork because it takes too much of my strength and I hope I can recover it at least partially after my Rhea cure. Just for your information, for an animation it takes me between 1-2 days to get it so that I can upload it, but then I have to rest again for a whole day.

Okay the first image is nice but I have to say the second one is just AMAZING. The dramatic contrast between light and dark, how the city looks small against the dark imposing sky but yet an opening of light....just amazing

Lots of layers and textures in the first shot---it's chock full of textures and layers. You included the road, which gives the perfect "entryway" to the shot. A very rich shot of dry-looking land---but what variety you got. You capture every essences of the west and s.west in this country.
The second shot is a marvel. You caught an opening in a very dense storm---like you pulled back a curtain (a very BLACK curtain!) and reveled this amazing scene. And it's all the more amazing because this is a day shot, yet all the lights are on. This, my friend, is Texas...and no one can capture that landscape---and sky---like you do.
