Very finely detailed work. Am I correct that the soldier is offering a parcel to a woman with a baby, and that the woman's head has been shaved?

Hi, Yes, there were women during the second world war, very close with the German soldiers. They were left most times with a baby. At the liberation of Western Europe, people took them out of their houses and their hair was shaved in public by those angry people. So, every one could see what they had done. This American soldier has mercy with her and the baby and gives her a piece of bread in a package. Good to know that there are stil good people. Thanks for your always faithful comments!!
