I don't remember why the U.S. chose the eagle as "its bird," but I assume it was because of the eagle's fierce independence and majesty. But your images capture that defiant majestic mood. The first has this craggy mountainscape behind ---2 eagles on a nest. I love the mist near the bottom (light on the bottom rather than on top!!). The second is an eagle perched on a branch over a huge abyss. More craggy mountains...dramatic pov, a real feeling of a chasm behind the bird...and the third has a thicker foreground, a real home (w/ more craggy mtns). Any self respecting eagle would give these 2 thumbs up. (or claws) (talons, right?...don't quote me here...). Majestic but gentle. Something about the softness of the mountains and the hues. Gentle comes to mind...
