Hummm this is uploading far more grainy than it looks on my computer... Anyone else seeing this as grainy?

Thanks Richard. I really don't know why this has been happening. It's the same camera, lens, editor, and computer I've been using for a while. I tried re-creating the edits on this photo using Nikon's editor. Similar stuff is happening, more white specks all over than are in the original, and a bit less colour depth. Nikon's program also doesn't do as good of a job in adjusting shadow. Maybe it's time to cough up the money for Lightroom :)
