Very nice. But I think the pony is laughing at him. Nice poses and lighting!

Yes, the horse does seem to be just 'horsing around' with him. LOL! Many thanks for the comment, my good friend! I greatly appreciate hearing from you!

That's an interesting picture. I am a bit puzzled by the markings on the horse; there are lines that seem to represent displacement maps for veins. I'd love to have a look at those materials and figure that out. I sense you may have some story in mind here and I look forward to whatever else you share. =)
Radar_rad-dude
Thanks for the comment, Molly! Sorry to cause you any consternation regarding the horse! It is definitely a 'horse of a different color', so to speak! LOL! I had it pre-setup in my runtime so I could use it fast. When I rendered this image, there were a lot of really crazy lines across the back of the horse. I used the spot repair tool in Photoshop to clean it up as best I could, but I know, there are many more areas that could certainly be improved.
As for the story, nothing much to tell here. I suppose I could ask chatGPT to come up with something. In fact, let me do that right now! Lets see what it comes up with, shall we? Well, I'll be darned and not a bit surprised. The program can't keep up with demand. Here is what it writes to let everyone know: Write an acrostic poem about the status of ChatGPT. C: ChatGPT is currently down H: Huge demand has caused the site to crash A: All users will have to wait T: Time is needed for the servers to catch up G: Go grab a coffee and check back soon P: Patience is key in this situation T: Trust that the team is working hard to fix it up Pretty clever at that I must say. LOL. I guess I will have to use my own brain, (what a concept LOL) to come up with something. So here goes; The Prince was captured by a neighboring kingdom and held for ransom. He has escaped and made it back to his own kingdom but is still quite a ways away from the main castle. He encounters this horse in the forest he is traveling through and recognizes it as one of his Father's prized possessions.
Previously, he and the horse never got along when he was still in good standing with his Father. He may have said or done some things to this horse that made it mad at him. So now, when he could really use a ride back to the castle, he has to try and repair some of the damage he did while he was still a spoiled and arrogant Prince. Will he succeed in winning over the good will of this horse, or will the horse take advantage of the situation and leave him high and dry.
That is the question for the day, my students. Now you may run with it and see what you come up with. Good luck!

Wonderful character. Love that hairstyle on him.
Radar_rad-dude
Thanks for the comment, uncollared! I greatly appreciate hearing from you!
Yeah! I like how it looks on him as well! I was trying for the Prince Valiant look. Bout as close as I could come with my limited runtime closet! LOL!
Wolfenshire
The horse seems to be having a bit of fun. Fantastic scene.
Radar_rad-dude
I think you are right, my friend! Perhaps he might take pity on the young prince, perhaps he won't! Either way, it won't matter because the soldiers from the neighboring kingdom are hot on the prince's tail and should recapture him any minute! Many thanks for the comment! Greatly appreciated!
OmniFX
Great scene, very humorous. Excellent background and funny expressions. Good job!

"Well, OK, little guy, but my price is still 6 apples a day!" LOL
Delightful interaction between these two, Bill. I love the pony's sideways glance at him.

Great scene!

Slightly unusual render with respect to content. One would have thought it should be the horse asking the guy for pity. For all you know, the strange marks on the horse's body could be signs of physical abuse -- though I hope not!
