Description

"Who..." Julieta paused. "What are you?!?" The Space Queen answered. "The short answer is that I protect stability and life in this planetary system. A more complete answer is I don't know who or what I am. Follow me, Julieta Rayner." "But how did you know my name?" Julieta wondered. The Space Queen did not deign to answer. Instead she led the way deeper in the maze of caverns under the surface of Loiken. She entered a large gallery and ascended an illuminated stairway stopping at the mouth of a gigantic face gracing the far wall. "I remember awakening here, in the mouth of the techno god. My appearance, similar to yours, Julieta Rayner, suggests to me I was once a creature such as yourself. I have a vague sense of sharing space and time with another creature. The nature of that other creature is very different from your nature or what I might have been before awakening here." Julieta illuminated the Space Queen with the lantern on her staff and thought. Finally she shared her thoughts. "You're a symbiote. I think you might have been a human but you share existence with something else! Thank you for sharing all this with me!" "You're welcome although I admit sharing this is impulsive and the part of me unlike you is uneasy with this course of action," the Space Queen replied. "I'm honored," Julieta said. "You somehow know my name. What should I call you?" "Hmm..." Julieta's Loik companions stirred uneasily and made the squeaking noises signifying disapproval. Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.1029 using the Superfly rendering engines with slight tweaks in Photoshop for clarity and a subtle vignette. Julieta and Space Queen are both based upon the La Femme mesh with modifications by Tempesta3d. Julieta wears a jumpsuit by Nemirc and the Space Queen's energy symbiote covering is by Tempesta3d. The Loik are characters by Nursoda. The setting is by 1971s.

Thank you, Marius. I feel like I tried to include too much and the lighting might not be quite right, but I thought it would be worth sharing anyway. I like the characters. =)

Thanks, ED. I think I should have pulled in a bit closer. If you view it at full resolution you can see the detail on the Space Queen a lot better. I was seduced by 1971s' setting, I guess. :-/

Seduction is a devious force at times and it seems to have pulled you into this stellar situation and image! Was it meant to be? Inquiring minds wish to know! With a symbiote space queen and so many unanswered questions within questions, I'm afraid that you may have bitten off a rather incredibly huge and undeniably intriguing story and awe inspiring journey here, Molly! Are you up to the challenge you have imposed on yourself? I'd love to hear you say 'YES!!!!!" I think this story has immense potential to explore the depths of the human psyche and consciousness as it tries to answer some timeless questions that have been bothering we puny humans for eons! What do you say, Molly! Care to take us on this ride down this rabbit chasm and see what we can learn? I'm game if you are!

Thanks Rad. The characters DO indeed have many story possibilities that I am considering. Your encouragement might spur me into action but.... so many ideas.... so many characters... >.<

I'm with radar - lots of possibilities that could require considerable exploration.

I don't think the lighting is bad at all....wonder if a little dust or haze would have muddied the image more than added a sense of ageless existence?

Thanks, JD. I always enjoy hearing your ideas. I do have some volumetric haze/fog; very light. I'm not sure how I might have done more without obscuring the image. Volumetrics are an area of active learning/development for me. =)

I'm not fully comfortable with volumetrics either - except big, puffy clouds :)
