Description
Larry's Surprise 3
Suddenly, Larry leans back, throws both hands in the air and yells, "OH, MY GOODNESS!"
The girl, startled and looking a little bewildered asks, "What is it, Mister?"
Tears swell in Larry's eyes as he says, "See that little dent in the firewall?"
"Yes?" she states.
"I put that there when replaced the clutch. I'll never forget that dent. It was the only mark on the car before I sold it," Larry says.
Larry gives the girl a hug, and returns to his car and says, "Dear, have I got a story for you," as he drives away feeling good that his old car is in loving hands.
The End.
This story was inspired by a recent reconnection with a friend I haven't seen in 47 years. He shared with me a story about his old 1953 Chevy pickup truck, and I thought I'd do a twist on his story.

great story. i had a similar run in with my first car a few years back. a 61 chevy impala rag top. it's in a museum now, complete with the rose i had paint on the rear quarter panels. so many memories. thanks for bring them back.
