Hello Rendosians ! Here is my new upload. I've decided to share with you a view of the beautiful town of Saint-Malo. Saint-Malo is a french town located in region Bretagne, on the western coast of France. Saint-Malo is an historic walled town with a rich historical background. It is the hometown of famous privateers such as Surcouf or Duguay Trouin when France and United-Kingdom were rivals on the oceans. That's why it is also called the Privateers Town Saint-Malo was a rich town because it was the harbor where exotical products such as spices or rhum arrived during the 19th century with the sadly famous Triangular Trade. For the french literature, Saint-Malo is the birthplace of François-René de Chateaubriand (1768-1848), who wrote beautiful romans such as Mémoire d'outre-tombe (his autobiography). As for the picture, it is the classical view of the wall of Saint-Malo view from the beach. I was lucky to see it with no tourists ! Did you know? Inhabitants of Saint-Malo are named Malouins. They are so proud they consider themselves neither French nor Breton... but Malouins. Thanks for all your kind comments on my last image. Hugs Virginiese

Vue classique ? Peut-être...mais image parfaitement composée avec sa ligne de fuite vers la droite...une vraie leçon de photographie pour ceux qui se contentent d'appuyer sur le déclencheur quand ce n'est pas le téléphone qui est à l'oeuvre ! Bravo la Souris.

Une magnifique et pittoresque photo de Saint-Malo, évocatrice de la cité des corsaires -privateers, in English, :-), et fondée par un certain Malo ou Maclou, un des sept saints fondateurs de la Bretagne, qui quitta la Bretagne insulaire et traversa la Manche pour s'installer et baptiser son nouveau lieu d'ancrage sur le continent. Belle perspective et lignes de fuite sur ta photo, qui accentuent encore davantage la solidité des fortifications, bravo!

C'est toujours bien de parcourir 'New Art', sinon je raterais tant de belles oeuvres. J'aime beaucoup cette nouvelle photo de St. Malo. Malheureusement je ne peux pas commenter toutes tes photos, M. Covid est parti, mais je lutte avec ces horribles séquelles depuis des semaines, elles ne s'arrêtent tout simplement pas!
