Description
Test render of my Fokker Dr1 Dreidecker.
I was unhappy with the available 3D Triplanes, so I made one myself.
Made in Wings3D.
The mesh optimized for Poser. (Only 34079 polygons!)
UV mapped in Wings, textures made in Photoshop and PictureIt2000.
Rendered in Firefly.
Still trying to find the best settings for the materials.
I wish I had a full fledged 3D painting app, so I could add a little dirt and grime.
(These machines seldom survived longer than a couple of weeks, so they simply didn't have the time to show much wear and tear)

Looks great.

Phantastic model! I never worked with Wings3D.
There are some alternatives for texturing out there. First would be Blender, which has texture painting capabilities (even if Blender isn't the most intuitive tool, it is free and incredible powerful). Then there would be armorpaint as an inexpensive tool or Quixelmixer as well. I once wanted to get substance painter, but since it has been taken over by adobe, you only can rent it, but not buy a perpetual license anymore, and this is not interesting for a hobbyist like me.

Great model. If I may ask, how many UV maps did Wings 3D create?

Thank you for the kind words, everybody. I let Wings UV map all parts separately, then rearranged the maps in UV mapper reduce the numbers of textures needed. The whole mapping now consists of a set of six textures per livery. (So far I made five different liveries for different WW-1 aces).
Forgot to add that the plane is fully rigged for Poser.
Thanks again.

Thank you for your answer. I built a Spad in Wings 3D which I put in my gallery, but did not create the UV maps due to the number of parts. It was a bit overwhelming. Thanks again for your answer.
