from that machine gun position is where Audi murphy held back a German infantry unit while his platoon withdrew, giving them covering fire as the tank was burning beneath him. Single handedly driving the Germans back. Love those sherman tanks; my grandfather commanded one in those days. I can still him him talking about the few memories of Baker 25 that he would relate. Thank you for bringing back some great memories of my Grandfather.
